“Our daughter has been at Kiddycare since the age of 1 and I can’t thank you and all the staff enough for the great care that you have given her over the years.  You deliver high quality care and the nursery is managed extremely well…. If we could mark your care out of 10 we would give you 11 for sure!!”

Kiddycare Day Nursery, Burstwick, East Riding of Yorkshire

Welcome to Kiddycare Day Nursery

We are a 26 place, purpose built nursery located in the rural village of Burstwick in the East Riding of Yorkshire. At Kiddycare we have been providing high quality care and education for the past 30 years and we are now enjoying caring for the second generation of some of our families.

We are passionate about what we do and our vision is to ensure that children are given the highest quality learning experiences in a well maintained safe, secure environment:

“today’s caring and learning, tomorrows future.”

We have a highly qualified team of committed staff, working to support your children on their learning journey, ensuring they meet their fullest potential regardless of gender, culture or ability. We became one of the first nurseries within the East Riding of Yorkshire to become a Portage accredited nursery.

All staff hold valid Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and Food Hygiene certificates and regularly update their knowledge and expertise.

Within our comprehensive policies and procedures we operate Equal Opportunities, Inclusion/Special Educational Needs policy and the policy for the Achievement of Positive Behaviour which ensures that all children are treated as equal. The children are encouraged to learn about and celebrate our individual differences.

Learning in a caring environment

We are committed to developing positive relationships with parents and carers and we respect that parents are a child’s first and most endearing educator, when parents and practitioners work together it is known to have a positive impact on child development and learning.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework ensures that care, learning and development are delivered together to support a rounded approach to child development. Through play the children will learn the skills that help them to develop successfully. The Early Years Foundation Stage is made up of prime and specific areas.

The prime areas of learning and development are considered crucial for igniting curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, building the capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive, these are;

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development

There are also four specific areas of learning through which the prime areas are strengthened and applied, these are:

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive arts and design
